About Me: LEARN MORE HERE
Hi, everyone, welcome. Thank you for joining us today on our Positioned for Purpose Conversations with Colette Marie podcast. I'm your host, colette Marie. Yes, our podcast is for women of faith who struggle to see God in the places of pain and hardship and who need a reminder, a gentle reminder, that, right where you are, god will use you In the mess, in the hardships, in the most challenging times, in your heartaches and in your pain. God has a greater plan for your story, romans 8. 28 states. For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose. Hi, my friend, welcome back to our conversation today. If this is your first time, welcome Today.
Speaker 1:I want to just share something briefly with us Today. I want to just share something briefly with us. You may be in a place where you are struggling to trust God in these hard and difficult times and you may be wondering where is God in the midst of your story? Where is God when you are in this place where you need him to show up, when you've been praying, when you've been just questioning him about what's his next for you? Today? I want to read for us Proverbs 3, verses 5 to 6, and it says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy path. I don't know where you are in your life at this point in time. You may be fearing or facing a lot of challenges and you're saying God, where are you? And that's a good place for you to start. That's how we build a conversation with our Heavenly Father. He's the only one who truly has the answers that we need. He's the only one that can tell us definitively I have you, my daughter. I have you, my son, in the palm of my hands, and your walls are ever before me, Meaning. God sees us, he knows where we are. He knew, even before we were considered by our parents, where we would be today, what the challenges are that we would be facing, what the victories are that we would be facing, what the victories are that we'll be facing, what the miracles are that we would be requiring. And he is still telling me, telling you, telling us, despite what's happening around you, despite what you see, despite what you hear, despite what you are experiencing.
Speaker 1:He wants us to place our trust in him, our confidence, or everything in him. Why? Because he is trustworthy, because he is God, he is in control. He's not gone off and left you. He's not gone off and left us. No, no, no, no. It doesn't matter where we are right at this moment in time in our lives. You could be someone on the mountaintop God is there. You could be in the valley God is there. You could be halfway up the mountain God is there with you. He wants you to place your trust in him as you move, each step of the way, as you take this journey in life, just to be who and be where God wants you to be and to do. He wants you to trust him. He wants you to take him at his word because he is trustworthy. And when we think of the different experiences that we've had with Almighty God, we know that we can trust him.
Speaker 1:I was having a conversation with a friend today, as I just remembered this, and we were talking and she was saying to me you know, despite the hardships and despite the challenges that we've been faced with, we have seen God's hands. And I agreed with her because, yes, we have. When we're in a space where we are in need of a miracle, when we're in need of breakthroughs, in need of deliverances. When we're in need of breakthroughs, in need of deliverances, the enemy comes in and wants us to forget that God is there, that God has always been there, that he did not go off and leave us. He did not tell us that he's going to give us a fish and give us a serpent, nor promises to give us bread and give us stone. No, what he said he would do, he would do so.
Speaker 1:As you are faced with your own challenges or burdened with the challenges of others, remember who your hope is in. Remember who your trust is in. It is in the one and only the one and only true God. He will not leave you nor forsake you. That's what his word says, and I want to, as I hear this scripture in my spirit yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and staff. They comfort me.
Speaker 1:So where are you today? You may be in the midst of your enemies. Can I tell you my friend, god is there with you. He says when you speak oh, my god, god is there with you, he is there with you. It, he is there with you. It's the shadow of death. That's what it says. Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, it's not death, it's only mirroring death. But it's not it. And even there, god is with us. When we think of his rod and staff, that's something that is used to guide the sheep From going astray. So you're not going into death. The sheep is keeping you in the shadows. It says also that thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Are you in the presence of your enemies? No, and you're wondering where is God? He is right there with you. He is right there by your side. He is strengthening you, he is undergirding you, he is supporting you with his righteous right hand, my friend. So trust in him. Trust in him today. Trust in him today. Trust in him today.
Speaker 1:I know it's not easy. I know when you have a tight deadline. I know what it is like to have your debtors or your creditors calling you to say I need this payment. I know, but in those moments, what have I learned? Can I tell you something?
Speaker 1:There were days when I would not want to answer the phone, but the Lord said to me one day his Holy Spirit said answer the phone. And so when they call, I answer. I don't have the correct answer, but I answer, I answer anyway. When they ask the questions, I answer, and sometimes that makes the difference because I have a responsibility. So hiding away is not the option, but God is there, he gives peace even during that time. And he said answer. And I remembered one day just answering, and just when the person asked me the questions and I just answered, and they said this is what we would want for persons to just answer, because sometimes the solution is right there, but we're burdened with this debt, we're burdened with this scare and we don't want to answer because it feels as if another load is being added. I know my friend, I know, but he is our burden bearer and he can take all the weight of the burden.
Speaker 1:As we give it to him, as we respond to those calls, those emails, those letters, give them to God, lift up the need before him and say, father, I need you. This is the situation that I'm faced with. Will you not help me? Today? My trust is in you, father. It's wavering, but my trust is in you. Anyhow, I know that you are well able to keep me. But, daddy, these are the bells I need you. I'm in a place where I have to lift them. Lift those bells up before almighty God and say father, these are the bells you've promised to supply all my needs according to your riches in glory.
Speaker 1:In Christ Jesus, you, he said, if I delight myself in you, you will grant me the desires of my heart. And so, lord, help me, help me. Help me. You may need to lift those situations up before your heavenly Father and ask him to help. His word tells us. I will lift up mine, eyes onto the hills. From whence cometh my help? My help comes from the lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He is the absolute best daddy that we could ever have. He gives us peace in the midst of the storm. If we will just trust him, if we will just not lean to our own understanding.
Speaker 1:Can I tell you something and I might have shared this with you before that sometimes we're faced with some difficult challenges and God has given us peace, but the others around us are concerned and are worried about us, and we feel some type of way to be in peace while they are worried. And I found that I took on their burden. And I said how can I be feeling this way when I have all these things here and my friends are being concerned about me? How can I have peace? Can I tell you something? That's where the enemy wants us to be. He wants us not to see that God is trustworthy and that God gives us peace, despite what is happening around us.
Speaker 1:Remember, peace does not mean the absence of challenges or difficulties. It means that, despite that and in spite what is happening, god is keeping us. His peace is, oh my gosh. His peace is surrounding us like a shield and we have to walk in that. We have to walk in that. And what have I found? Because then I have to share a life lesson with you. I have found that as I give God my burden, as I lift them before him, when he gives me that peace, I sink into it, I wrap myself in it, I clothe myself in it. I clothed myself in it because the absence of peace is worry, is fear, is doubt. It's also medical bills. You develop high blood pressure, headaches, all sorts of ailments. Now, if we have financial challenges, worrying only adds to that, because sooner or later we have to purchase something for that headache. That's money.
Speaker 1:So today, my encouragement to you is to trust God. Do not lean to your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Him and he will direct your path. That's what he says, that's his word to you. And I today, trust him with your whole heart. He is able to do it. He's able to see you through. He's able to see you through. Our God is concerned about everything that concerns us. Our God knows the end from the beginning. He knows what you and I have need of and he says come boldly to my throne of grace, come boldly. Take your heartache, take your pain, take your challenges, take your disillusionment, take your depression, take your everything and come and lay them at my feet. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. Take them, lay them at my feet. I am well able.
Speaker 1:My encouragement to you today, my friend, is to wherever you are, whatever you are faced with. If you are on the mountaintop, give God thanks. If you're in the valley, give God thanks. Praise him with every fiber of your being and watch him give you peace in the midst of the storm. There are days when I'm going through difficulties and all I have is a worship, nothing else. And sometimes all I can say is thank you Lord, thank you Lord. And the more I say thank you Lord is, the more hope rises within me, and that makes a difference. It gives me peace and it gives me joy, and it fills me with expectancy as well, because I know that my God loves me, is concerned about me and is coming through for me right on time.
Speaker 1:Do you need God to show up for you? Would you be able to start with just by trusting him, by taking me at his word and know that he wants the best for you. Know that all that you are going through, he is aware and is there to give you help. Yes, he is there. He loves you with an everlasting love. Trust in him.
Speaker 1:Today, father, I place my friend before you. You know, oh God, what she's going through today. And, father, I ask, burden bearer, miracle working God, lift the burdens of her heart today. Bring her healing, as only you alone can Comfort her in the hard places even now. Make a way for her where there seems to be no way.
Speaker 1:Almighty God, almighty God, I pray that you will give her your peace, which surpasses all human understanding. Let it guard her heart and her mind in Christ Jesus. Father, I praise you for her. I acknowledge that you are God all by yourself. You've not gone off and left us. Almighty God, you have kept us in the palm of your hands and our walls are ever before you, and so we trust you and we will not lean to our own understanding, but in all our ways we will acknowledge you and you will direct our path.
